CO-SPONSORSHIPS

The FHI provides supplemental or start-up funding for projects and programs undertaken by other Duke units, faculty members, students and student groups in support of research activities, conferences, visiting lecturers, film screenings, exhibitions, and many other types of programs.

If you or your Duke unit is interested in obtaining FHI financial support for a special project or program, please send an email describing your request to FHI Associate Director Grant Samuelsen. Include summary information on the amount you are seeking, participants, schedules, the intended audience, a brief explanation of your publicity plans, and any other relevant information.

In very rare instances, the FHI can provide small amounts of funding for organizations external to Duke. Before inquiring about such a request, please take the time to familiarize yourself with the the mission and programs of the FHI to ensure that your project or program falls within the scope of our organization.

Requests for support are reviewed at an FHI staff meeting once each month. Please allow for sufficient lead-time when making your request.
